Rick Fugitt, MSW, LCSW
Rick Fugitt is a licensed psychotherapist earning his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and his master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Oklahoma.
Rick has done extensive work with children, adolescents and adults in the connected worlds of law enforcement and mental health. After retiring from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation in early 1994, Rick worked tirelessly providing professional services at crime scenes along with off site services for police officers as well as crime victims.
In his Dallas office at CRT, Rick specializes in individual adult and couples therapy empowering clients to enjoy and create their most powerful sense of self both individually and collectively.
Rick utilizes the clients’ strengths and his use of therapeutic change agents including clinical hypnosis as a way to help clients move beyond their established pattern of thinking, feeling and seeing self which serves as a barrier to the client’s desire for change.
This established internal pattern keeps people stuck in their frustration of the unrelenting process of self change.
Resolution of internal dramas such as intrusive anxieties, depression, stress and relationship conflict is necessary but not necessarily the focus of the therapeutic change process. Rick guides clients in developing a focus on the positive solution as clients work through internal growing pains creating a positive attitude attached to self change.
In 2008, Rick became the Vice President/President Elect of the North Texas Society of Clinical Hypnosis centered in Dallas as a component section of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH) founded 50 years ago.
Rick also enjoys providing corporate trainings for CRT business associates.
